Microtech Amphibian Mini RAM-LOK 137MRL-10MS12 is an asymmetrical variant of Tony Marfione’s design, combining an M390MK steel blade with a handle made of one Slab Side titanium grip and one carbon fiber grip. The design is complemented by a heat-treated titanium backspacer.
The 82.55 mm blade features a Clip Point profile, a hollow grind, and a stonewashed finish. The combination of gray titanium and black carbon fiber clearly distinguishes the two sides of the handle while maintaining the same RAM-LOK mechanism.
M390MK – steel developed for Microtech
The blade is made of M390MK steel, a variant of M390 developed for Microtech in collaboration with Böhler. The material offers high resistance to wear and corrosion while maintaining performance characteristics suitable for premium-class folding knives.
Clip Point, hollow grind, and stonewashed
The Clip Point profile provides a distinct tip and good control over the blade. The hollow grind supports smooth cutting, and the stonewashed finish minimizes the appearance of minor wear marks.
Titanium / Carbon Fiber and RAM-LOK
The handle features an asymmetrical design: one grip is made of gray titanium with a Slab Side finish, and the other of black carbon fiber. The titanium backspacer has been thermally colored to create a distinctive multicolored accent.
The pivot operates on ball bearings, and RAM-LOK locks the blade in place when open. The knife opens manually using thumb studs on both sides, and the titanium clip can be mounted on the right or left side in a tip-up configuration.
