The Kizer Microbe TSJ AirTi V2742TSJA2 combines Blue Canyon Richlite with a Sandvik 14C28N steel blade and a stonewashed finish. It is a compact, non-locking folder designed by Maksim Epifantsev, featuring the KStop™ Slip Joint mechanism and a lightweight AirTi construction.
The blade hole and Nail Nick provide two ways to open the knife manually, while KStop™ controls the blade’s movement when closing. With an overall length of 135.74 mm, the model remains very compact, and the reversible deep-carry clip makes it easy to carry daily.
Sandvik 14C28N – Practical Utility Steel
14C28N is a stainless steel that performs well in small EDC folding knives thanks to its ease of sharpening and good corrosion resistance. The 58–60 HRC hardness range strikes a reasonable balance between edge retention and easy maintenance.
Drop Point, Flat, and Stonewashed Finish
The Drop Point gives the small blade a versatile character and a useful tip for precision tasks. The flat grind supports efficient cutting, while the stonewashed finish effectively masks minor marks that arise during everyday use.
Richlite Blue Canyon and KStop™
Richlite Blue Canyon gives the handle its distinctive blue appearance, while the internal Ti-6Al-4V liners form a lightweight AirTi frame. A steel backspacer secures the back of the handle, and the KStop™ mechanism ensures controlled blade operation without a traditional lock.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I care for 14C28N?
Simply remove dirt regularly and dry the knife after it comes into contact with moisture. Thanks to its good corrosion resistance, the steel does not require complicated maintenance, but a clean pivot and edge improve the comfort of everyday use.
How do you sharpen Sandvik 14C28N?
The 14C28N can be sharpened efficiently on water stones, ceramic stones, or using a guide system. The steel regains a sharp edge relatively easily, which is an advantage in a small EDC knife.
How does KStop™ work?
The mechanism does not lock the blade rigidly in place, but controls its movement and stops it once it exceeds approximately 90°. This allows for a greater distance between the blade and your fingers when folding the knife.
What makes the AirTi design unique?
The internal skeleton consists of milled Ti-6Al-4V liners from which excess material has been removed. This solution reduces weight while maintaining a stable handle structure.
Is the clip reversible?
Yes. The stainless steel clip can be moved to the right or left side and functions in a tip-up configuration in both cases.
