The Kizer Begleiter Fix 1045MD1 is a lightweight fixed-blade knife designed by Azo, combining a slim profile with materials selected for everyday and outdoor use. The Drop Point blade made of CPM 3V steel, with a gray stonewashed finish, and a handle made of brown Burlap Micarta create a functional configuration with a distinctly utilitarian character.
With an overall length of 200.00 mm, the model weighs just 69.60 g, making it comfortable to carry. The full-tang construction provides a solid foundation, and the Kydex sheath with a Tek-Lok mount makes it easy to carry the knife safely on your belt during everyday activities and field work.
CPM 3V – High Impact Resistance and Durability for Demanding Work
The blade is made of CPM 3V steel hardened to 61–62.5 HRC. The material is valued for its high impact resistance and good resistance to edge damage, making it well-suited for knives intended for regular and more demanding use.
Drop Point – a versatile working profile
The Drop Point profile provides a functional edge profile and a well-controlled tip. This geometry works well for a wide range of everyday and outdoor tasks, from opening packages to preparing small materials.
Concave Grind – Smooth Cutting and Lightweight Geometry
The concave grind maintains a thin profile behind the cutting edge and facilitates smooth gliding of the blade through the material. Combined with a thickness of 3.00 mm, it helps keep the weight low and ensures good control during everyday use.
Gray stonewashed finish
The blade is finished using the stonewashed method in a gray shade. This finish gives the knife a subdued, utilitarian look and helps minimize the visibility of minor wear marks that develop with regular use.
Burlap Micarta – natural texture and a secure grip
The handle is made of Burlap Micarta in a brown color scheme. The material features a distinctive texture, fits comfortably in the hand, and complements the model’s rugged character, while providing the durability needed for everyday use.
Full Tang – a sturdy construction with low weight
The Full Tang construction means that the steel tang runs the entire length of the handle. This allows for a solid structural foundation without sacrificing the knife’s lightweight nature.
Kydex and Tek-Lok Clasp
The knife comes with a Kydex sheath that protects the blade during transport and handling. The Tek-Lok belt clip makes it easy to securely attach the knife to your gear and carry it comfortably during everyday and outdoor activities.
