Byrd Raven 2 G-10 Black, Plain renewed, the second generation of the popular model and one of the first Byrd knives in which the blade was made of improved CTS BD1 steel. Sophisticated handle shape for users who value a wide range of knife holder styles. The lightweight Spyderco folder sets the future direction for developing Byrd knives. One of the best EDC.
CTS BD1 - corrosion resistant, good sharpness American high chromium stainless steel with excellent wear resistance. Manufactured in the metallurgical plants Carpenter Technology Corporation.
Blade - with a Drop Point profile provides excellent cutting edge geometry at low friction. Smooth blade (Plain type) was made with full flat cut (Full Flat Grind). The corrugated fragment of the blade back - spine jimping - places the thumb and gives solid support. Arched undercut of the index finger between the handle and the cutting edge (finger choil jimping) facilitates control over the folder. Incision in comet shape - Comet-shaped (Spyderco patent) - to open the blade. Blade blockade: Liner Lock mechanism.
Frame - made of solid, skeleton stainless steel tiles provides exceptional strength of the structure, forming at the same time the basis of the Liner-Lock blade lock mechanism. The entire was bolted with torx screws to facilitate folding and folding of the pocket knife.
