BW-24S is an exquisitely crafted, unique fixed-blade Remate knife from the Spanish company Muela. High-quality materials and meticulous attention to detail make it ideal for collectors, hunting enthusiasts, and those who value an active lifestyle.
REMATE - in the hunting tradition of Spain, Portugal, and southern France, this is a knife carried by hunters hunting wild boar with dogs. "Remate" literally translates to "finish off." This term refers to all double-edged knives with a blade length exceeding 17 cm—in France, this also includes knives with bayonet-style blades.
X50CrMoV15 (1.4116) - molybdenum-vanadium high-carbon, martensitic stainless steel, highly resistant to corrosion and wear. Used in the manufacture of knives, high-end cutlery and surgical instruments. It is characterized by a fairly high, for stainless steels, hardness of 56-58 HRC. The chemical composition of the steel is enriched with an admixture of 15.0% chromium (Cr), 0.80% molybdenum (Mo), 0.20% vanadium (V).
Blade - with a blood groove. Extremely sharp with a Dagger profile, perfect for survival and hunting applications. The smooth Plain blade on both sides was derived with a concave grind (Hollow Grind), which gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. All finished with an elegant Satin finish. A large top and bottom hilt protects the hand from slipping on the blade.
Handle - made from natural deer stag with a crown tip. Mounted directly onto the tang, ensuring a highly rigid and durable construction.
Sheath - made of natural brown leather. Sheath with embossed manufacturer's logo. The edges of the sheath were sewn with a decorative thread. Fastening to a belt or gear allows you to carry the knife in a vertical position.
