Bean Gen2, a compact E.D.C. folder, design by Serge Panchenko. The Ukrainian knifemaker's design combines hard to beat value for money and functionality. Equipped with Slip-Joint mechanism legal in most countries. Finished with stone washed method.
SlipJoint - nonlocking ball detent mechanism used in folders. Force is required to fold the knife. SlipJoint holds the blade in both folded and unfolded position.
Blade - with refined profile similar to Sheepsfoot. Made of well sharpening, hardened in the range of 56-59 HRC, durable 440C stainless steel. Plain, smooth blade, is derived with a Flat Grind for excellent geometry and strength. Oval cutout for opening the blade.
Handle - made of solid steel plates with precision machined surfaces. One of the covers is the base of the non-locking mechanism. Open-backed design for easy cleaning and maintenance. A cut-out in one of the facings guarantees right-handed access to the oval opening for opening the blade. The right-handed metal clip allows you to carry the knife in tip-up position.
