Easy Lock is a modern expandable baton locking system operated by a button located at the end of the handle. The baton can be deployed in three ways: automatically when drawn from the BHT-55 holder, manually by pulling out the telescopic sections by the baton tip, or conventionally with a wrist swing. Manual deployment is particularly useful when discreet opening is required or when conditions do not allow a full swing. To collapse the baton, press the Easy Lock button and then use the other hand to push the telescopic sections back into the handle. The manufacturer does not recommend collapsing the baton by striking or pressing its tip against a hard surface.
Handle – H (Anti-Slip) type, in black, with a rough surface that reduces the risk of the baton slipping from the hand. Made of hypoallergenic, anti-slip synthetic rubber, it fits comfortably in the hand and provides a secure and comfortable grip. The durable connection between the rubber grip and the baton structure increases the strength of the handle and allows confident handling of the tool.
BHT-55 holder – designed for hardened ESP Easy Lock expandable batons in 20" and 24" lengths, including versions with a rounded Round Ending (ExBT) and a triangular Triangle Ending (ExBTT), with H (Anti-Slip) and HE (Ergonomic) handles. The holder offers two methods of drawing the baton. The first, standard method allows the baton to be removed in the collapsed position. The second, after fully pressing the baton into the holder, allows it to deploy automatically during the draw. For this function to work correctly, the baton must be fully inserted into the holder so that its tip is retained by the mechanism located in the base. During removal, the tip remains momentarily secured, causing the telescopic sections to extend and lock automatically. If automatic deployment is not required, the mechanism can be removed from the lower part of the holder. The baton can be carried vertically, horizontally, or at a selected angle according to the user’s preference, improving carrying comfort and allowing quick access.
UBC-05-A – a slide-on belt mount with the Quick Change system, allowing the BHT-55 holder to be quickly detached and replaced with another compatible ESP holder, e.g. for a flashlight, magazine, or pepper spray. The UBC-05-A clip remains attached to the belt, while holders equipped with the Quick Change System can be quickly exchanged depending on the user’s needs. The mount is designed for belts 38–56 mm wide and, after removal of the adjustment insert, can be used with belts up to 68 mm wide, such as wide duty belts. The design allows the mounted holder to rotate through a full 360° and lock in one of 16 predefined positions.
Steel – the telescopic components are manufactured from cold-drawn seamless steel tubes of grade ČSN 12 060 (Czech standard), equivalent to Ck55 (DIN 17200) and C55E (EN 10083-1 + A1). The individual tubes are hardened to between 47 ± 2 HRC and 51 ± 2 HRC, depending on the component. This provides high resistance to deformation during intensive use.
Finish – the telescopic metal components are coated with a black nickel-zinc finish (Black Ni-Zn), increasing surface resistance to abrasion.
