CJH - a sub-brand of C.Jul. Herbertz GmbH a legend in the world of knives with an excellent reputation. The name refers to the company's founder. Carl Julius Herbertz founded the company in 1868 in the city of Solingen, which has been the center of German knife and cutting tool manufacturing since the Middle Ages.

AISI 420 (American Iron and Steel Institute) martensitic stainless steel rich in 0.15% carbon, containing min. 12% chromium, which offers high hardenability in the 54-56 HRC range as well as strength, toughness, machinability and excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content produces chromium carbide compounds for wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for manufacturing cutting tools, knife blades and medical instruments.

Blade - Modified Wharncliff type with a strong tip ideal for piercing and a long cutting edge. Coated with glare eliminating matte BT (Black Teflon) type coating. The small thickness of the blade, combined with a high concave grind, gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. The shims support the smooth operation of the blade's opening mechanism, which can be opened by means of a milled recess in the wedge, the Nail Nick. Spine Jimping notches on the back of the handle and upper jimping, a ramp with notched notches for comfortable thumb rest make it easier to control the knife. The whole thing is locked with a solid back lock.

Handle - black aluminum facings mounted to a steel frame. Chamfered edges of the sheaths eliminate sharp edges, along the entire length made strong texture for comfort and sure grip. Two-position (right/left) metal deep-carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up (blade tip up) position. In the back of the handle lanyard hole, a hole for a safety cable.
