N690 - cobalt-rich 1.65% (Co) corrosion-resistant, high-carbon 1.07% (C) martensitic chromium steel 17.30% (Cr) with molybdenum 1.10% (Mo), vanadium 0.10% (V). Developed to provide better wear resistance compared to the original Böhler N690 steel, but with higher cobalt (Co) content in its composition. It features exceptionally high corrosion resistance and long edge retention. One of the best tool steels in the world today. Hardened in the range of 59-61 HRC. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - Straight Back type coated with glare eliminating and scratch masking Stone Washed finish. The perfect full-length cutting edge provides exceptional cutting performance with full force, transferring power to the blade's hilt, guarantees better scoring strength. Solid blade combined with a high, flat grind (Flat Grind) excellent cutting performance combined with extreme durability. A notched section of the back of the blade, the spine jimping ramp positions the thumb, giving solid support, making it easier to operate the knife. The cutting edge starts with a small notch which makes sharpening superbly easy.
The handle - made of black G10 (pressure-pressed fiberglass with synthetic resin), bolted directly to steel, provides a virtually indestructible construction. The curved shape of the covers eliminates sharp edges, which have been heavily textured to improve grip. A deep finger groove creates a mini guard to prevent the hand from slipping on the blade. The contoured handle allows the knife to be held both ways, especially for users who appreciate an inverted grip. On the back of the handle are a skull crusher and a lanyard hole, a hole for attaching a cord.
Sheath - made of kydex, equipped with a number of holes on the rim to allow the installation of two handle loops (included) or optionally other attachment systems. The loops can be attached in any configuration so that we can carry the knife in the most comfortable position for us.
