All blades of MAM Filmam knives are made of high-quality AISI 420 stainless steel from German Thyssen-Krupp steel mills which is treated and hardened as for VG-10 steel, thus achieving the use of the maximum capabilities of 420 steel. Additions of molybdenum, vanadium, silicon and carbon make the steel hardenable up to 57 HRC, and provide strength, toughness, machinability and excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content produces chromium carbide compounds, providing wear resistance and holding the sharpness of the cutting edge after hardening. Special machines are used for machining, regularly tested by the company's technicians

Blade - high quality German (ThyssenKrupp) AISI 420 stainless steel. Plain blade, brought out with a full flat grind, which, combined with the slight thickness of the blade, provides above-average cutting properties. The knife is opened with a nail nick on the blade.

Handle - straight, made of a single piece of dark varnished, durable, lightweight beech wood. Reinforced on the side of the wedge with a metal ring. On one side of the handle burnished logo of the manufacturer. Thanks to the impregnation process, the handle grips are resistant to moisture and water, both fresh and salt sea water. Despite its small size, the grip profile does not cause fatigue during use.
