AUS-10 produced at Takefu Special Steel Corporation's steel mills based in Fukui, Japan, a vanadium-rich 0.3% (V), molybdenum-rich 1.20% (Mo) and cobalt-rich 1.5% (Co) high-carbon stainless steel. The balanced combination of high carbon content of 1.05% (C) and chromium content of 15.50% (Cr) makes a stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance, high hardness (hardened to around 60 HRC) and the ability to hold an edge for a long time. As a result, knives made from AUS-10 are easy to sharpen, delivering a razor-sharp edge with exceptional performance.

Blade - with a modern Tanto profile, with a reinforced tip. Finished with a scratch-masking Blackwashed method. The long cutting edge in relation to the length of the blade converges with a geometric belly towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the wedge ensures high strength while the flat full Chisel grind guarantees incredible durability of the blade. Ceramic ball bearings are responsible for the smooth and smooth operation of the blade advancement mechanism. The flipper fin, when opened, forms a mini-guard preventing the hand from slipping on the blade. On the back of the upper jimping wedge, a notched thumb rest.
