AUS-10 - Japanese stainless steel, often compared to 440C series steel, and for good reason, as the compositions are similar, but these minor differences make AUS-10 harder (hardened usually to around 60 HRC) and dulls more slowly, without losing its rust resistance. Knives made of this steel are relatively cheap and will be a great choice if our budget is not too high and we care about stainless.
Blade - drop point type, finished with a scratch-masking and glare-preventing Stonewashed method and then coated with a black coating. The long cutting edge with a prominent belly, converges towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength while the high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance.
