The Cypher 2 S/E Black Aluminum, Apocalyptic is the triumphant return of the much-loved OTF model, now infused with state-of-the-art enhancements. The pinnacle of advanced technology, the Cypher has undergone a comprehensive redesign, introducing an innovative dual blade drive system. This enhancement provides easy starting and the smoothest operation ever seen in an OTF knife. The redesigned Cypher features a number of improvements, including stylish jimping on the housing for superior ergonomics and comfortable grip. A 6Al4V titanium clip with ceramic ball offers secure and accessible carry options. The screwless body, integrated glass striker and updated button recess design give a streamlined aesthetic. With its compact size and quick opening, the Cypher sets a new standard for the iconic combination of style and utility.

Deryk DC Munroe is the creator of MunroeKnives, who has had a lifelong passion for guns. His roots date back to 1984, and in 1997 he began a full-time career as a knife maker, constantly developing his skills and style. Known for his excellent folding knives, Munroe is collaborating with Tony Marfione on Cypher, the second masterpiece born from their partnership.

M390MK - a collaboration between Microtech and Böhler engineers resulted in an exclusive version of M390 steel made only for Microtech. The carbon content has been increased and subjected to closer scrutiny thus improving the properties of M390 steel for better edge retention, corrosion resistance and polishing. Martensitic high-performance chromium steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to its alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of "wire" during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 19.0% (Cr) doped with 1.95% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened to 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.

Blade - machine ground, Wharncliffe S/E (Single Edge) type, strikingly aged with Apocalyptic patination. The blade was brought out with a high flat grind (Flat Grind), providing excellent cutting properties. The long grain further strengthens the blade. The strong mechanism of extending / retracting the blade with the help of a moled Thumb Slide, a stepped slide under the thumb requires for safety the application of a specific force to overcome the resistance of the spring. The method of opening provides seamless opening for both right and left-handed people.

Handle - made with excellent precision in 3D technology on CNC milling machines, from black anodized coated 6061-T6 aluminum. The surface texture of the Handle and the deep notches (jimping) on it make the knife non-slip in the hand during use. The slim profile and milled two-position (right/left) solid deep-carry clip allow the knife to be carried discreetly in the pocket, in tip-down (blade tip down) position. Equipped with a smooth rollerball, thanks to which the knife easily slides into the pocket without damaging the edges of the pocket. The Handle is finished with a glass breaker, there is also a hole to weave a decorative cord.
