420 - a high-carbon martensitic stainless steel with an increased carbon (C) content of 0.17% to 0.23%, also containing chromium (Cr) and molybdenum (Mo). It offers high hardenability in the 54-58 HRC range, as well as strength, ductility, machinability and excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content forms chromium carbide compounds, providing wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, this steel is suitable for manufacturing cutting tools, knife blades and medical instruments.
Blade - classic Spear Point with a long false blade. Covered with a black protective coating. Centrally placed grain strengthens the blade. Gentle belly extends the length of the cutting edge in relation to the length of the wedge converging towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength while the flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. It opens with a quick flipper flipper (index-finger flipper). When opened, the flipper forms a mini Guard to prevent the hand from slipping on the blade. The opening is assisted by a strong spring. The whole is locked with the proven and popular liner lock.
Handle - grips made of aluminum, practically indestructible metal insensitive to weather conditions, resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage.
