AISI 420 (American Iron and Steel Institute) martensitic stainless steel rich in 0.15% carbon, containing min. 12% chromium, which offers high hardenability in the 54-56 HRC range as well as strength, toughness, machinability and excellent corrosion resistance. The high carbon content produces chromium carbide compounds for wear resistance and edge retention after hardening. Due to its high hardness, the steel is suitable for manufacturing cutting tools, knife blades and medical instruments.
Blade - Drop Point type finished with elegant satin finish. The small thickness of the blade combined with a high concave grind (Hollow Grind) gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. The washers support the smooth operation of the blade's opening mechanism, which can be opened by a spring-activated button on the Handle. A section of the blade's back is covered with an upper jimping, notched thumb rest for easy control of the knife. The whole thing is locked with a solid button lock.
Handle - made of G10 composite, a virtually indestructible plastic that is insensitive to weather conditions, resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage. Chamfered cover edges eliminate sharp edges for comfort, and the straight shape makes it easy to fit in any hand. The open-backed design attached with steel spacer sleeves reduces weight and makes it easy to clean. On the left grip, a button that activates the opening mechanism, for safety tucked into a slight recess to avoid accidental opening. Behind the button a locking slide, further protecting against accidental opening. A single-position (right) deep-carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up (blade tip up) position.
