X50CrMoV15 (1.4116) - molybdenum-vanadium high-carbon, martensitic stainless steel, highly resistant to corrosion and wear. Used in the manufacture of knives, high-end cutlery and surgical instruments. It is characterized by a fairly high, for stainless steels, hardness of 57-58 HRC. The chemical composition of the steel is enriched with an admixture of 15.0% Chromium, 0.80% Molybdenum, 0.20% Vanadium.
Blade - classic Drop Point finished with elegant satin finish. The generous belly extends the length of the cutting edge in relation to the length of the blade converging towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength while the high, hollow grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. It opens with a double-sided peg in the wedge. A section of the back of the wedge creates a thumb ramp for easy control of the knife. The whole is locked with the proven and popular back lock.
