Microtech Amphibian Ram-Lok S/E Knife Fluted OD Green G10, Apocalyptic P/S M390MK by Tony Marfione (137RL-11APFLGTOD)
- Amphibian Ram-Lok S/E Fluted OD Green G10, Apocalyptic P/S Re-edition of the folding knife with intuitive RAM-Lock. Excellent M390MK blade steel, a collaboration between Microtech and Bohler engineers. Ergonomic handle. Designed by Anthony Marfione

This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.
Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.
A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.
When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.
Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.

M390MK - thanks to the cooperation of Microtech and Böhler engineers, an exclusive version of M390 steel has been created, made only for Microtech. The carbon content has been increased and subjected to more thorough control, improving the properties of M390 steel to ensure better edge retention, corrosion resistance and polishing. A martensitic high-performance chromium steel produced using powder metallurgy. Due to the alloy concept, it is characterized by extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it keeps its edge well, which means that the blade stays sharp for a very long time (minimal maintenance required). Another advantage is that it is resistant to “wire” formation during sharpening. Steel with a high chromium content of 19.0% (Cr) and an admixture of 1.95% carbon (C), 4.0% vanadium (V), hardened to 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Ram-Lock (Crossbar Lock) - a horizontal crossbar that moves in longitudinal slots in the steel side plates of the handle skeleton. When the knife is opened, the locking bar overlaps the back of the blade from above, preventing it from moving back. This bar is pressed down by two springs. Unlocking is done by pulling back the locking bar, the ends of which are accessible through the notches in the Handle grips on the sides. In the closed position, the bar presses on the cam surface at the back of the blade, preventing it from opening by itself. Advantages of the Ram-Lock: resistant to dirt, practically insensitive to dynamic loads, easy to use with either the right or left hand, and light to operate.
Blade: machine-ground drop point, single-sided S/E (Single Edge) sharpened, partially serrated (Partially Serrated). Finished with an effective Apocalyptic patina. Opens with a model-specific dual thumb stud in a teardrop shape, making it easy to use for right- and left-handed people. Ball bearings ensure smooth operation of the opening mechanism. The blade has a high flat grind, which gives it an excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. To maintain full control of the blade, upper jimping, a corrugated thumb rest, is provided on the back of the blade. The whole is locked with a convenient Ram-Lock.
Handle - made of durable G10 composite, covered with milled lines (Fluted) for a better grip. Wide locking slider with Microtech's characteristic X-pattern. Both grips are screwed together with a sturdy backspacer. The reversible (right/left) titanium clip allows the knife to be carried discreetly in the tip-up position. Above the clip is a lanyard hole for a safety or decorative cord.
