Easy Lock is a modern locking system for telescopic batons, operated by a button located at the end of the handle. The baton can be extended in three ways: automatically while being drawn from the BHT-55 holder, manually by pulling out the telescopic sections by the baton tip, or in the standard way with a swinging motion. Manual extension is especially useful when discreet deployment is required or when there is not enough space to make a full swing. To collapse the baton, press the Easy Lock button and then use the other hand to slide the telescopic sections back into the handle. The manufacturer does not recommend collapsing the baton by striking or pressing its tip against a hard surface.
Handle – type H (Anti-Slip), in black, with a textured surface that reduces the risk of the baton slipping from the hand. Made of non-slip synthetic rubber suitable for prolonged skin contact, it fits comfortably in the hand and provides a secure and comfortable grip. The durable connection between the rubber grip and the baton construction increases the strength of the handle and makes the baton easier to control.
BHT-55 Holder – designed for hardened ESP Easy Lock telescopic batons in 20" and 24" lengths, both with Round Ending (ExBT) and Triangle Ending (ExBTT) end caps, and with H (Anti-Slip) or HE (Ergonomic) handles. The holder offers two methods of drawing the baton. The first, standard method allows the baton to be removed in the collapsed position. The second method, after the baton has been fully pressed into the holder, allows it to extend automatically while being drawn. For this function to work properly, the baton must be fully inserted into the holder so that its tip is retained by the mechanism located at the base. During removal, the tip remains briefly held in place, causing the telescopic sections to extend and lock automatically. If the automatic extension function is not required, the mechanism can be removed from the lower part of the holder. The baton can be carried vertically, horizontally, or at a selected angle according to the user’s preference, increasing carrying comfort and allowing quick access.
UBC-05-A – slide-on belt mount with the Quick Change system, allowing the BHT-55 holder to be quickly detached and replaced with another compatible ESP holder, for example for a flashlight, magazine, or pepper spray. The UBC-05-A clip remains attached to the belt, while holders equipped with the Quick Change System can be swapped quickly depending on the user’s needs. The mount is designed for belts 38–56 mm wide and, after removal of the adjustment element, can also be used with belts up to 68 mm wide, including wide duty belts. The construction allows the mounted holder to rotate through a full 360° and to be locked in one of 16 predefined positions.
Steel – the telescopic sections are manufactured from seamless, cold-drawn steel tubes made of C55E steel, corresponding to the Czech designation ČSN 12 060. Individual tubes are hardened to a hardness of 47 ± 2 HRC to 51 ± 2 HRC, depending on the structural element. This provides high resistance to deformation during intensive use.
Coating – the metal telescopic components of the baton are finished with a black nickel-zinc coating (Black Ni-Zn), increasing surface resistance to abrasion.
