Borka Blades (Sebastijan Berenji) is a very popular custom knife maker whose skills attract crowds of blade enthusiasts. Sebastijan was born and raised in Yugoslavia and became a US citizen in 2016. The company's name comes from his late mother, Borka. A few years after starting his career as a knifemaker, he designed a unique folding knife that attracted considerable interest among collectors and enthusiasts. Not only did he attract attention, but he also caught the interest of Microtech Knives CEO Anthony Marfione, who offered him a collaboration.

The highest quality materials and finishes are often used in the production of Signature Series knives. The line also includes themed knives such as Bounty Hunter, Memento Mori, and Molon Labe. M390MK - thanks to the collaboration between Microtech and Böhler engineers, an exclusive version of M390 steel was created exclusively for Microtech. The carbon content has been increased and subjected to more precise control, improving the properties of M390 steel to ensure better edge retention, corrosion resistance, and polishing. Martensitic high-performance chrome steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to the alloy concept, it is characterized by exceptionally high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Thanks to its high wear resistance, it retains its edge shape, which means that the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requires minimal maintenance). Another advantage is its resistance to “wire” formation during sharpening. Steel with a high chromium content of 19.0% (Cr) with an admixture of 1.95% carbon (C), 4.0% vanadium (V), hardened in the range of 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - wide, S/E (Single Edge) Spear Point type, coated with Plague Outbreak. The gently curved cutting edge tapers towards a needle-sharp tip. The solid thickness of the blade combined with a flat grind gives excellent cutting properties combined with high durability. The long false edge on the spine increases the already considerable piercing properties of the blade. To maintain full control of the blade, there is a large, serrated finger choil at the bottom and upper jimping, a serrated thumb rest, on the spine of the blade. The whole thing is locked with the well-known and proven Button Lock.
Handle - made with precision on CNC milling machines from 6061-T6 aluminum, with a deeply milled Tri-Grip structure for a secure and comfortable grip. The wide button for opening the knife is located in a recess, which protects against accidental opening. Both liners are screwed together with a solid, blue anodized titanium backspacer. All screws and clips are also coated with Plague Outbreak. The reversible (right/left) clip allows you to discreetly carry the knife in a tip-up position. The protruding part of the backspacer, which has a hole for a lanyard, can also be used as an improvised glass breaker.
