324,05 €This product is intended for use only by adults with knowledge and experience in handling sharp cutting tools. Improper use of the knife can result in serious injuries. The blade is extremely sharp and can easily cut through skin and tissue; therefore, extra caution should always be exercised while cutting, and hands should be kept away from the cutting edge. To prevent the knife from slipping, it is recommended to cut on a stable, non-slip surface and avoid excessive force, which may cause uncontrolled blade movement.
Leaving the knife on the edge of a table, countertop, or in easily accessible places—especially where children are present—poses a significant safety risk. The knife should always be properly secured after use, ideally by placing it on a stable surface or storing it in designated knife blocks, protective sheaths, or magnetic strips. The knife should never be used for tasks it is not designed for, such as opening cans or prying objects, as this can damage the tool and lead to dangerous accidents.
A dull blade increases the risk of injury, as it requires more force and is more likely to slip from the material being cut. Therefore, it is essential to sharpen the knife regularly to maintain optimal sharpness. Additionally, proper cleaning and drying of the knife are necessary to prevent corrosion and bacterial growth. Periodic inspection of the handle and blade is recommended to check for cracks, chips, or looseness. If any damage is detected, the knife should be repaired or replaced immediately.
When using the knife, focus solely on the task at hand—avoid talking on the phone, watching television, or other distractions while cutting. Ensure proper lighting in the workspace for better visibility and control. Please note that some countries or regions have laws restricting the ownership and carrying of knives. Before purchasing or using this knife, verify that its use is legal in your location according to applicable regulations.
Following these safety guidelines will help ensure safe and effective knife use, minimizing the risk of accidents and extending the lifespan of the tool.
MSI Mini S/E Frag Black Aluminum, Stonewashed—a compact version of the popular MSI model. It features the same high-quality materials and a blade made of M390MK steel, the result of a collaboration between two renowned companies—Microtech and Böhler. This steel is known for its exceptional durability and long-lasting sharpness, making this knife ready for any challenge. The intuitive RAM-Lok lock ensures safety during use. This innovative lock is easy to operate and provides ease of use for both right- and left-handed users. The knife’s handle is made of aluminum, durable and ergonomic. Its shape is designed to fit perfectly in the hand, ensuring comfort even during prolonged use. This knife is not just a tool, but also a work of applied art. Its designer, Anthony Marfione, founder and owner of Microtech, paid attention to every detail. From the elegant black finish to the satin details, this knife is both beautiful and practical. Whether you’re looking for a reliable tool or an elegant accessory, the MSI Mini (Microtech Standard Issue) folder will meet your expectations.
M390MK - thanks to the collaboration between engineers from Microtech and Böhler, an exclusive version of M390 steel was created exclusively for Microtech. The carbon content was increased and subjected to more rigorous control, thereby improving the properties of M390 steel to ensure better edge retention, corrosion resistance, and polishability. A martensitic high-performance chromium steel produced using powder metallurgy. Due to its alloy composition, it features exceptionally high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Thanks to its high wear resistance, it maintains edge shape effectively, allowing the blade to retain its sharpness for a very long time (requires minimal maintenance). Another advantage is its resistance to “wire” formation during sharpening. Steel with a high chromium content of 19.0% (Cr), alloyed with 1.95% carbon (C) and 4.0% vanadium (V), hardened to a range of 59–61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter’s CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Ram-Lok™ (Crossbar Lock) – a crossbar that moves horizontally within longitudinal slots in the steel side plates of the handle frame. When the knife is opened, the locking bar engages from above onto the rear of the blade, preventing it from moving back. This element is held in place by two springs. Unlocking occurs by pulling the bar backward; its ends are accessible through cutouts in the scales on both sides of the handle. In the closed position, the bar presses against a cam surface at the rear of the blade, preventing it from opening spontaneously. The advantages of the Ram-Lok lock include high resistance to debris, practical insensitivity to dynamic loads, ease of operation with both the right and left hand, and the mechanism’s light, smooth operation.
Blade - machine-ground S/E (Single Edge) Sheepfoot blade, sharpened on one side. Finished with a matte Stonewashed patina, which gives the blade an aged appearance and effectively masks minor scratches that occur during use. The blade opens via a thumb hole, making the knife comfortable to use for both right- and left-handed users. The blade features a high flat grind, ensuring excellent cutting edge geometry and exceptional cutting performance. To ensure full control over the blade, the blade spine features upper jimping, a serrated thumb rest. The entire blade is locked in place by a convenient and reliable Ram-Lok mechanism.
Handle - precision-machined using 3D technology on CNC mills from anodized 6061-T6 aluminum. For a better grip, the handle surface features a distinctive texture mimicking the surface of a fragmentation grenade (Frag Pattern). The wide lock slide with Microtech’s signature stepped structure (X Button) ensures secure and comfortable operation. The scales are connected by a solid aluminum backspacer. A reversible (right/left) clip featuring Anthony Marfione’s signature allows for discreet carrying of the knife in the tip-up position. Above the clip is a lanyard hole, i.e., a hole for a safety or decorative lanyard.
