Civivi – a sub-brand of WE Knife, a company producing knives of the highest global quality. Production takes place on the same production lines as WE, ensuring the highest assembly standards are maintained.
CPM S35VN – an American martensitic high-alloy stainless steel with a hardness of 59-61 HRC, one of the best steels for blade production. Designed to provide better durability compared to CPM S30V, while maintaining corrosion resistance at the highest level. Manufactured by US Crucible Industries using the Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process. The CPM process produces a highly homogeneous, high-quality steel characterized by excellent dimensional stability, grindability, and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods. The chemical composition has been balanced to include 0.5% niobium carbides (Nb), 3.0% vanadium carbides (V), and 14.0% chromium (Cr). Replacing some of the niobium carbides with vanadium carbides makes the steel approximately 15–20% harder than S30V without sacrificing wear resistance, and it is also easier to machine and polish. The improved strength of CPM S35VN also provides better resistance to edge chipping.
Crossbar Lock - a crossbar that moves horizontally in longitudinal slots in the steel side plates of the Handle frame. When the knife is opened, the locking bar engages from above with the rear part of the blade, preventing it from moving back. This bar is held in place by two springs. Unlocking occurs by pulling the locking bar backward; its ends are accessible through notches in the grips of the handle. In the closed position, the bar presses against a cam surface at the rear of the blade, preventing it from opening on its own. The advantages of the Crossbar Lock include resistance to debris, practical insensitivity to dynamic loads, ease of operation with both the right and left hand, and smooth operation.
Blade - drop point, finished using the Stonewashed method and then coated with a black finish. The pronounced spine extends the length of the cutting edge relative to the blade length, tapering toward the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The blade’s slim profile, combined with a deep hollow grind, delivers excellent cutting performance coupled with high durability. Ceramic ball bearings ensure smooth operation of the blade-opening mechanism, which can be activated using a quick index-finger flipper. Once open, the flipper forms a mini-Guard to prevent the hand from slipping onto the blade. On the blade spine, upper jimping, a serrated thumb rest. Locking mechanism: crossbar lock.
Handle - Nebula Fat Carbon composite grips. The entire assembly is secured to steel liners. In practice, this ensures many years of use without compromising the structure. The so-called open-backed design, without a typical backspacer, is held together by steel spacer sleeves, facilitating cleaning in the field. The pivot axis is adorned with a stylized Civivi logo. A right-side metal deep carry clip allows you to discreetly carry the knife in your pocket in the tip-up position (blade up). Above the clip is a lanyard hole, an oval opening for a lanyard.
Case - the knife is packaged in a zippered nylon soft pouch with the brand logo for safe carrying and storage of the folder.
