Misericordia, a slim, ultra-light 87g and compact tactical knife. Can be used both as a main knife and as a backup (back up). A dagger with a single-sided blade (Single Edge) for users who appreciate an inverted grip. On the equipment of the Italian special unit, The 4th Alpine Ranger, Paratrooper Regiment, which helped develop and test the knife.
Misericordie - from <franc. Misericorde, merciful> from <language. Misericordia, act of mercy>. A narrow knife used in the Middle Ages to deliver the final blow to knights who had received mortal wounds in battle.
N690 - corrosion-resistant, high-carbon 1.07% (C), martensitic chromium steel 17.30% (Cr) with molybdenum 1.10% (Mo), vanadium 0.10% (V) and cobalt 1.50% (Co) for structural uniformity. Features exceptionally high corrosion resistance and long edge retention. One of the best tool steels in the world today. It achieves a hardness of 57-60 HRC. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.
Blade - sharp Spear Point profile, 4mm thick with blood groove (making the knife even lighter) and a ¾ length false blade for increased piercing properties. Blade coated with black non-reflective MIL-C-13924 BURNISHING coating. On the back of the blade short notched thumb rest (upper jimping). At the base of the blade one-sided notched riddle to protect the hand.
Handle - covered with FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) plastic facings. Finished with a large back ring / tail ring / pommel ring with multifunctional skull crusher spike. The precision shaped ring allows for martial arts techniques, can be used to strike specific points on the body, allows for a solid grip preventing the knife from slipping when the going gets tough.
Sheath - when designing a knife for professional use, great emphasis was placed on ease of carrying and retrieval. Openwork holster makes it easy to dry the blade and prevents the knife from falling out (snap). The trigger-like snap enables the knife to be drawn quickly and instinctively. A system of two adjustable multi-position clamps allows for quick attachment of the scabbard under the M.O.L.L.E. system straps.
Optional additional accessories from Extrema Ratio allow you to customise the handling of the Misericordia knife to suit your needs.
Fodero Kydex <Misericordia> BLK - optional kydex scabbard. Equipped with two fabrics with male Velcro on one side and female Velcro on the other, used to carry the concealed knife between the bulletproof vest and the magazine holder. The scabbard also offers belt attachment with the separately sold Belt Clip Black, a clip for carrying the holster on your belt.
