Ray Laconico - his fascination with knives began with the movie "Rambo". Since the early 1990s he began collecting fixed blade and folding knives. In the early 2000s he started making knives as a hobby. In the summer of 2006, Ray decided to make knifemaking his full-time occupation. In 2010, Ray took off creating folding knives and since then he has been designing and building EDC knives, which he sells to collectors around the world. Ray's designs are known for their simplicity, functionality and elegance.
CPM 20CV - one of the best tool steels in the world, an American premium martensitic stainless steel. Manufactured by US Crucible Industries according to the Crucible® Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process. The CPM process yields a very homogeneous, high-quality steel with excellent dimensional stability, grindability and ductility compared to steels produced by conventional methods. Designed to provide better wear resistance while maintaining corrosion resistance at the highest level. This super steel is comparable to Bohler's M390 steel or Carpenter's CTS-204P. According to some knife manufacturers, 20CV is the best of these three steels in terms of edge retention. It consists of 1.9% carbon, 20.0% chromium, 4.0% vanadium, 1.0% molybdenum and 0.6% tungsten. The high percentage of chromium with a touch of molybdenum makes 20CV one of the best high-end corrosion-resistant steels.
Blade - Clip Point type, finished with a scratch-masking Black Stonewashed finish. The slender blade converges towards the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The slim thickness of the blade, combined with a high, flat grind (Flat Grind), gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ceramic ball bearings support the opening of the blade in two ways, with a double-sided stud in the blade (Double Thumb Stud) or a quick flipper front flipper. The entire blade is locked with a modern Frame Lock with a steel insert to prevent wiping of the lock face.
Handle - made of titanium 6AL4V colored in Tiger Stripes pattern, beveled edges of the covers eliminate sharp edges. The whole screwed to a solid backspacer, also made of titanium. Hidden in the recess of the backspacer is a place to thread a belay or decorative line. The axis of the pivot is decorated with a stylized WE Knife brand logo. A deep finger undercut (fore finger groove) improves grip security. A single-position (right) titanium deep-carry clip allows you to carry the knife discreetly in your pocket in tip-up (blade tip up) position.
Case - included zippered soft nylon case with manufacturer's logo for safe storage and transportation of the folder.
