Bryan Montalvo's adventure with knives began near Austin, Texas, when he combined his design skills with his long-standing love of knives and a community of supportive fans to create Keanison Knives. Keanison is best known for his handmade folding knives designed using a wealth of exotic materials. Bryan's creativity and attention to detail are evident in his collection of knives, each more unique than the last. He has created several iconic designs, including the "Stray" and "Alpha" folders, but the "Bluetick" stands out as his first award-winning design from Blade Show Texas 2023. 14C28N - a martensitic chromium stainless steel is the latest development in the range of knife steels produced by Sandvik's Swedish mills. An optimized chemical composition with a unique combination provides superior quality, excellent edge performance, high hardness and corrosion resistance. By reducing the amount of carbon 0.62% (C) and increasing the chromium content 14.0% (Cr), as well as adding nitrogen 0.11% (N), corrosion resistance has been significantly improved. Considered an improved version of 13C26 steel. Unbeatable in the price / quality category!

Blade - wide, Drop Point type with a clearly marked belly, finished with a scratch-masking bath of fine Stonewashed pebbles and then coated with a black coating. The massive blade, combined with a high concave grind (Hollow Grind), gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. Ball bearing ceramic supports the smooth operation of the blade's opening mechanism, which can be opened with a quick flipper flipper (index-finger flipper). When opened, the flipper forms a mini-guard to prevent your hand from slipping on the blade. Finger choil, an index-finger undercut between the Handle and the cutting edge, and an upper jimping notched section of the Blade's back for the thumb make it easy to hold securely during precision tasks The entire blade is locked with a modern Nested Liner Lock.

Handle - rough G10 (pressure-pressed fiberglass with synthetic resin) grips, which were screwed to steel liners. A fore finger groove made on the front improves grip security.
