D2 - a high-carbon, high-chromium high-speed tool steel heat-treated to 59-60 HRC. With a high chromium content of 13.0% (Cr), it offers greater corrosion resistance than most high-carbon steels. Combines strength, excellent edge holding and easy sharpening. Features high wear resistance due to high carbide content in the microstructure.
Blade - classic Drop Point with a striking Two Tone finish, satin cut, the rest of the blade finished with Stonewashed. The generous belly extends the length of the cutting edge relative to the length of the blade converging toward the needle-sharp tip of the knife. The thickness of the blade provides high strength while the high, flat grind gives excellent cutting edge geometry and extreme cutting performance. On the back, a long swedge improves piercing characteristics. Ball bearings support the opening of the blade with a quick index-finger flipper when opened acting as a stag. A section of the blade's back is covered with the upper jimping, a notched thumb rest for easy control of the knife. The whole thing is locked with the proven and popular liner lock.
Handle - grips made of G10, a practically indestructible plastic insensitive to weather conditions, resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage Chamfered edges of the covers eliminate sharp edges and characteristic surface texturing improves grip security. The massive backspacer to which the grips are attached guarantees the rigidity and strength of the entire structure. The end of the backspacer protrudes beyond the outline of the Handle, creating a spike that can be used in emergency situations as a glass breaker or self-defense tool. A single-position, right-handed clip allows the knife to be carried in the tip-up position, with the tip of the blade upward.
