CPMMagnaCut - a powder stainless steel produced using the Crucible® Particle Metallurgy(CPM) process hardened between 60.5-62.5 HRC. The high content of vanadium 4.0% (V), molybdenum 2.0% (Mo) and niobium 2.0% (Nb) guarantees accuracy and purity unmatched by more "conventional" steels. Designed and developed specifically for blade production by Larrin Thomas, it meets all the requirements of knife enthusiasts. With CPM MagnaCut succeeded in creating a steel that combines the unique properties of knife steels like no other. The result is a blade material that offers a remarkable balance of wear resistance, strength and corrosion resistance. There is no other steel on the world market today that offers a comparable combination of superior properties. This exceptional steel is manufactured at Crucible® Industries' American steel mills.
Blade - Drop Point type finished with an elegant satin finish. The ideal cutting edge along its entire length provides exceptional cutting performance with full force, transferring power to the blade's tip, guarantees better point strength. The wide blade combined with a high flat grind (Flat Grind) gives extreme cutting performance combined with high strength. A notched section of the Blade's back, the spine jimping ramp positions the thumb, giving solid support for easy knife handling. The cutting edge starts with a small notch which makes sharpening superbly easy.
Handle - made of Canvas Micarta composite (pressure-pressed canvas with synthetic resin), riveted directly to the blade, provides a virtually indestructible construction. The rounded shape of the covers eliminates sharp edges. The unique ergonomics of the Handle allows the knife to be held both ways, especially for users who appreciate an inverted grip. On the back of the Handle an enlarged lanyard hole, which is a hole for attaching a belaying line.
Sheath - when designing, great emphasis was placed on the ease of carrying and retrieving the knife. Flat, lightweight holster made of Kydex plastic. It comes complete with Tek-Lok, a practical multi-position mount suitable for attachment to the armor or to the trouser belt.
