Borka Blades (Sebastijan Berenji) is a very popular creator of custom knives with skills that attract a multitude of blade lovers. Sebastijan was born and raised in Yugoslavia and became a US citizen in 2016. The company is named after his late mother, Borka. A few years after he began his career as a knifemaker, he designed a unique folding knife and generated a lot of interest among collectors and enthusiasts. He not only attracted attention, but also attracted the interest of Microtech Knives CEO Anthony Marfione, who offered him a partnership.

M390MK - a collaboration between Microtech and Böhler engineers resulted in an exclusive version of M390 steel made only for Microtech. The carbon content has been increased and subjected to closer scrutiny thus improving the properties of M390 steel to provide better edge retention, corrosion resistance and polishing. Martensitic high-performance chromium steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to its alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of “wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 19.0% (Cr) doped with 1.95% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened to 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.

Ram-Lock (Crossbar Lock) - a crossbar that moves horizontally in longitudinal cutouts in the steel side plates of the handle frame. When the knife is opened, the locking bar overlaps the back of the blade from above, preventing its return movement. This beam is pressed down by two springs. Unlocking is done by pulling back the locking bar, the ends of which are accessible through cutouts in the grips on the sides of the Handle grips. In the locked position, the bar presses against the cam surface at the rear of the blade, preventing it from opening on its own. The advantages of the Ram-Lock are resistance to contamination, practical insensitivity to dynamic loads, ease of operation with both right and left hands, and lightness of operation.

Blade - wide, type S/E (Single Edge Spear Point), partially serrated P/S (Partial Serrated), finished impressively by the Two Tone method , black-coated slices, the rest of the blade satin-finished. The gently curved cutting edge converges toward a needle-sharp tip. The solid thickness of the blade combined with a flat grind (Flat Grind) gives excellent cutting properties combined with high durability. The long false blade on the back increases the already not inconsiderable material piercing properties. The knife is opened by a wide opening in the blade (thumb hole). To maintain full control over the blade in the lower part we have a large, serrated finger place (finger choil) and on the back of the wedge was made upper jimping, notched support for the thumb. The whole is locked with a convenient Ram-Lock.

Handle - made on CNC milling machines with excellent precision, made of G10 composite, a virtually indestructible material insensitive to weather, resistant to chemicals and mechanical damage, with a deeply milled 3D Fluted structure . Wide locking slide with Microtech's signature stepped X structure . Both grips are bolted together with a solid aluminum backspacer. The double-sided (right / left) clip allows you to discreetly carry the knife in tip-up position. The protruding part of the backspacer in which there is a hole for a rope, can also serve as an improvised glass breaker.
