Halo Gen IV T/E Marfione Select Black Aluminum, Stonewashed is a continuation of one of OTF's most recognizable lines of automatic knives, a nod to fans of precision mechanics and designs with a distinctly technical DNA. Designed by Tony Marfione, this model doesn't try to please everyone - instead, it offers a raw, industrial aesthetic, uncompromising construction and a distinctive single-action mechanism culture. The new generation Halo returns to its roots, enhancing the original formula with modern materials and utility improvements. Blade made of M390MK powder steel, developed specifically for Microtech, guarantees excellent sharpness retention and wear resistance - key features in knives with a dynamic extension system. The stonewashed finish enhances the utility function and gives the whole thing a raw, tool-like character. The slim profile of the Tanto Edge blade promotes precision work, and its geometric line fits well with the model's styling - technical, minimalist and decisive. Halo Gen IV is not an EDC folder, but a tool for conscious users and collectors, who are looking for maximum precision of operation, original construction and iconic Microtech design, expressing the philosophy of “form follows function” in its purest form.

Single-Action system in automatic knives (mainly OTF type) uses spring energy only to rapidly extend the blade. When the button is pressed, the lock is released and the blade instantly locks into the open position. Reassembling the knife requires the user to manually pull the spring with a lever, which prepares the mechanism for the next use. Thanks to its simpler design, the system offers much greater opening force and better structural rigidity than two-way models.

Marfione Select is an exclusive line of knives, combining Microtech innovation with the artisanal precision characteristic of custom knives. Created under the guidance of Anthony Marfione, each knife in the series features unique materials, finishes and the utmost attention to detail. These knives are not only tools, but also works of art, valued by collectors and knife enthusiasts around the world.

M390MK - thanks to a collaboration between Microtech and Böhler engineers, an exclusive version of M390 steel made only for Microtech was created. The carbon content has been increased and subjected to closer scrutiny thus improving the properties of M390 steel for better edge retention, corrosion resistance and polishing. Martensitic high-performance chromium steel produced by powder metallurgy. Due to its alloy concept, it has extremely high wear resistance and high corrosion resistance. Due to its high wear resistance, it adequately maintains the shape of the edge, so the blade stays sharp for a very long time (requiring minimal maintenance). Another of the advantages is resistance to the formation of “wire” during sharpening. The steel has a high chromium content of 19.0% (Cr) doped with 1.95% carbon (C), vanadium 4.0% (V), and is hardened between 59-61 HRC. This super steel is comparable to Carpenter's CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steels. Manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Kapfenberg, Austria.

Blade - from M390MK, a special version of powder steel developed for Microtech Knives, combining high hardness, edge stability and corrosion resistance. Its parameters have been optimized for use in designs with a dynamic OTF mechanism, where both durability and predictability of operation are important. The Tanto Edge profile provides precision in cutting, good penetration and clean movement geometry. The flat grind promotes blade aggression while maintaining durability and the ability to accurately control the trajectory. The stonewashed finish reduces light reflections and masks signs of use, important for heavy use and aesthetics. Additional relief holes and a fuller reduce the weight of the blade, facilitating smooth extension and return, while also fitting in with the technical aesthetic - cool, austere, based on engineering rather than decoration. This Blade is designed for mechanical enthusiasts and conscious users of premium tools .

Handle - made of anodized aerospace aluminum, CNC-machined, which guarantees high structural rigidity and perfect fit of the components. Its elongated profile allows for a secure grip and optimizes control of the knife both during handling and on the job. The Gen IV version is distinguished by holes on the back, which give access to cleaning the mechanics inside the knife - a unique procedure that emphasizes the industrial character of the design. The rear segment of the spring tension lever is finished with a glass breaker, which increases functionality in emergency situations and completes the utility form. The surface of the aluminum was finished to provide a good grip without aggressive texturing, maintaining clean lines and comfort. Milled from titanium, the single-position (right) clip allows the knife to be carried in a tip-down position (blade tip down). The clip is equipped with a smooth rollerball, thanks to which the knife slides into the pocket lightly and smoothly, without damaging the edges of the pocket. The whole design creates a Handle that is minimalist, expressive and subordinated to the function of the action - in accordance with the philosophy of Tony Marfione, who for years has set the standard for premium OTF automatic knives .
